My first work day at the Univeristy Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Here I will finish my PhD in the comming few years. My main question is to characterize tumor cells that are circulating in tthe patients blood. These are the cells that will form the metastases.
 
 
 
2008 Dec 30 | Goodbye Holland
 
Everything packed and ready to go. I leave the Netherlands and move to Germany. It is 475 km from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Hamburg (Germany).
 
I have to start practicing my German again, it has been over 12 years since I learned German in secondary education.
